POWER QUALITY PROJECT

Summary

HES were tasked with supplying and installing five Power Quality Analysers at various locations at Christmas Creek, collecting required data over nominated time periods to allow for studies and modelling.

Solution

Each individual switchroom and relevant drawings were assessed to determine best location to install monitoring equipment. This wasn’t always straight forward with the need to maintain switchboard arc flash rating.

Data was successfully collected over specified time periods, at different locations. This data was reviewed and modelled using DigSilent Power Factory software.Our Engineering Team provided detailed reports with suggestions for improvement with onsite PFC’s and transformer loading.
