Paul Brown founded High Energy Service Pty Limited in 2007 and brings a wealth of qualifications, skills and experience to the company. He is proficient in project supervision, planning and document procurement, accustomed to liaising with major clients at both an engineering and management level and possesses an intimate knowledge and ability to implement statutory regulations for the mining industry and a wide range of utilities.
He has extensive experience in Programmed Maintenance, Shutdown Planning and Implementation, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of HV/MV equipment and HV Switchgear Rebuilds and Maintenance.
Paul has an A Grade Electrical Licence, is an accredited, certified Cable Jointer up to 33 kV including HV Line Washing up to 132kV. Paul has a wide range of licences including; HV Switching Operations, MSIC, Truck Mounted Crane, High Risk and Blue Card.
Claire Ireland has worked in senior finance and consulting roles for more than 20-years and currently oversees business operations and management at HES. Key targets are to further develop HES in terms of market share, innovation and continuous improvement across all disciplines of the business. She instigates and implementation of integral change of management protocols, systems and process management within the business for financial and resource management and planning and is responsible for financial outcomes.
Her qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, a Diploma of Leadership and Management and a Diploma in Accounting and Finance. She has also completed courses in Sales and Marketing, and received training as a Financial Strategist.
With over 15 years’ experience in the electrical industry, Stephen has extensive experience in High Voltage/ High Energy Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance, Repairs and Upgrades. His experience combined with a ‘can do’, customer oriented approach, has resulted in a diverse career in Supervising, Project and Account Management and ultimately into his current position of Business Development Manager.

Stephen’s position with HES was specifically developed with customers in mind to ensure the company is at the forefront of business and technology trends. The aim is to consistently offer clients state of the art service and solutions that will ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective infrastructure. By providing customers with clear avenues HES is able to develop and retain long-term sustainable relationships based on proven performance and integrity.
Stephen has an A Grade Electrical License, HV Switching License, Diploma in Business Leadership and a Diploma in Marketing and Understanding Commercial Tendering and Contracts.
Fraser Cullen joined High Energy Service Pty Ltd (HES) in May 2010 and brought more than 20 years’ experience in the manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of High Voltage Systems to the position. He has worked in a series of major power stations and been closely involved with large projects both within Australia and overseas.
In addition he has more than 10 years’ experience in management and is adept at all areas of planning and organising to co-ordination and control. During his management and technical roles with HES, Fraser has developed an outstanding rapport with clients by using his exceptional communication and organisation skills.
Qualifications and licences include; a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management; A Grade Electrical Fitter and Mechanic Licence, HV Switching Ticket and a Western Power l2 Substation Access Certificate.
Tony has a 30+ career within the Electrical Industry and brings with him a wealth of Experience, Knowledge, Capabilities and Professionalism. Tony has significant experience as a Project and Operations Manager, known for quality delivery of works large or small.
Tony is committed to excellence in relation to safety and the safety culture within his teams with no harm being the only acceptable outcome. Tony has acquired acute knowledge and awareness for mulit-cultural and diverse team environments.
Tony has also managed his own business for an extensive time before committing his career to construction and mining HV work and therefor understands the needs and economies of business and how we can assist your business.
Mark has had a 30+ year career within the Electrical Industry and brings with him a wealth of Experience, Knowledge and Professionalism. The experience he brings ranges from extensive A-Grade Electrical works through to Estimating, Operations and Project Management.
Mark has worked in Commercial, Industrial, Hazardous Area and High Voltage environments and has an acute understanding of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements for all of these various Industries.
In addition to his A-Grade, Estimating, Project and Operations Management positions, Mark also managed his own successful Electrical Business for over 15 years. For this reason Mark understands what your business needs and how HES can assist you.
Stephen Clarke joined High Energy Service in August 2015 and has a Post Graduate diploma in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management, in addition to Diplomas in Occupational, Health and Safety and Quality Auditing. He also has Cert IV Training and Assessment, Cert II Production Technology and licenses in Advanced Injury Management – IFAP, ICAM Investigator, First Aid / CPR and High Risk.
Stephen has excellent communication skills and liaises regularly with stakeholders at all levels. He is highly experienced in strategic planning, workers compensation and injury management, OHS legislation, policy, procedure writing and implementation, risk management and training and development. Stephen is also accomplished at performing internal auditing and site inspections and has the ability to offer systematic systems approaches to multiple sites.
As our Engineering Manager, Yakov Stojanovic has completed both a Bachelor of Engineering and is an A-Grade Electrician. This dual certification has led to Comprehensive and Practical Engineering Experience in both Field and Office-based Environments, centered around the preparation and execution of High Voltage Electrical Construction, Maintenance and Project Activities.

Our Engineering Team
Yakov’s career progression into our Engineering Manager position has come as a result of High Performance and Sustained Business Growth within our Engineering Department. All Engineers in our growing team, having previously completed a Bachelor of Engineering, are either studying or have completed an Apprenticeship to become A-Grade Electricians. At HES we have a Hands-on, Practical approach to Engineering.
Jarrod Ennis is a highly resourceful and dedicated senior manager with a strong technical background in the industries of mining and metals, oil and gas, government, education, industrial services and consumer goods. He is experienced in managing all operational aspects in the sectors of industrial hire, the sales of industrial products and consumables and the provision of technical labour based services.
Jarrod’s background is primarily based on electronics and computer systems engineering. He applies his strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to all areas of business, including workshop technical support, operational/warehousing production management, customer service enquiries, business strategy and sales and marketing management.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Power Engineering, is qualified in Applied Project Management, has a Diploma in Computer Services Engineering and a Certificate IV in Computer Systems Engineering. Jarrod has also completed the CCI Introduction to Supervision and Frontline Management and 7Sim Leadership Training; the Leader Who Inspires.
Paul is a highly experienced High Voltage Professional with key expertise with Transformers, both in a Manufacturing and Field Environment. His experience in Service Management has led to experience in Engineering, Project Management, and several Maintenance & Condition Monitoring Environments working on Liquid Fill and Dry Type Transformers ranging in size from 10kVA to 600MVA and voltages up to 500kV.
Paul’s diverse range of specialist transformer experience includes: Workshop Repairs; Field Maintenance & Repairs; Manufacturing; Installation & Commissioning; Upgrades & Retrofits such as Bushings; Condition Monitoring incl. DGA interpretation; and Failure Investigations. Paul also has extensive experience in high-end Transformer Testing, Ranging from Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT); Pre-Commissioning Testing at site; Functional Testing of Protective, Supervisory and Control Devices.
