Partial Discharge Testing

Summary

Our client contacted HES to complete Partial Discharge testing at several of their sites. We were tasked with completing Generator PD testing as part of planned maintenance activities, as well as Cable PD testing on a newly installed inline joint that completed by another contractor to verify it’s integrity ready for energisation.

Solution

To complete this specialised testing, HES mobilised our inhouse PD testing specialist along with the requisite test equipment to ensure works were completed thoroughly and without incident. HES were able to perform accurate and in-depth testing and analysis of Alcoa’s assets.
