Electrical Engineer

Due to high growth HES are searching for Graduate Electrical Engineers. This position would see the successful candidate join the HES ‘Resources’ team, that services the resource sector within the Pilbara and surrounding areas, as well many other mining, oil and gas and infrastructure customers across the whole of WA.

Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a motivated and talented Graduate Power System/High Voltage Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the development of safe and efficient power systems.

The Graduate Engineer will be trained and mentored within the Engineering team learning from our Key Leads and have exposure to testing, commissioning, and maintenance of High Voltage assets. The Graduate Engineer will be involved in the production of design reports, testing, programming, and electrical design.

Key Requirements

• Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical/power system engineering)
• Good knowledge of power systems and high voltage testing principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Excel
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to learn and ask questions.
• Be available to work away on remote mine sites.
• Be an Australian citizen or have the right to permanently work and remain in Australia.
• Valid Driver’s Licence
